THEIR RESPECTIVE THESIS
Two of our Dominican brothers have just finished their institutional studies at the Catholic University of Saint Joseph (USJ). Their last academic act before graduating with the degree of Bachelor in Sacred Theology (STB) was their respective presentation and defense of their mini-thesis before a tribunal of three USJ professors.
On February 4, 2012, Br. Joseph Lee, OP, defended his thesis entitled “Liberation Theology and the Korean Catholic Church: Reflections and Response 1970-1990.†The members of his tribunal were: Fr. Joao Eleuterio, President; Fr. Fausto Gomez, OP, Chief Examiner, and Professor Sean Kinsella, Supervisor.
On February 6, 2012, Br. Anthony Lee, OP, presented his mini-thesis entitled “Idea of Woman in John Paul II’s Encyclical Letter Redemptoris Mater.†The members of his tribunal were; Fr. Joao Eleuterio, Coordinator of the USJ School of Christian Studies; Professor Anna Chan, Chief Examiner, and Professor Sean Kinsella, Supervisor.
Brothers Joseph and Anthony, both from Korea, defended their work successfully and came out of the academic exercise with flying colors. Some members of our Priory witnessed their presentations and gave them fraternal support. Congratulations to our dear brothers Joseph and Anthony!
By the way, Br. Joseph is now assigned to Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong and studying the Cantonese language. For his part, Br. Anthony continues being a member of our St. Dominic’s Priory. He will begin studying at USJ this time for a Master’s degree:   Master in Psychology. To both, good luck! (FGB)
