On 30 March, 2025, Sunday, four of our Dominican brothers made their solemn profession, namely, frs. Joao Baptista Pereira, Gaspar de Jesus, Francisco Zin Ko Lin and Natalino Da Costa.
The event took place in our chapel of St Dominic’s Priory, here in Macau, during the Sunday Eucharistic celebration, presided over by our Prior, Fr Javier Gonzalez, OP, on behalf of the Master of the Order, Fr Gerard Timoner, OP. The concelebrants were the Dominican brothers of the community plus Fr Fernando Muñoz, OP, from St Joseph’s community in Hong Kong. The event was well prepared by our student brothers who decorated the chapel and sung during the ceremony.
The chapel was fully packed, with the attendance of the Dominican Family in Macau (Sisters and Lay Dominicans), some friends and the faithful “parishioners” who joined in our Sunday Mass. At the end of the celebration, brother Natalino addressed a few words of gratitude to the audience on behalf of the four brothers.
Some group pictures captured the meaningful moment and will help us to keep good memories of this joyful event. Lunch was served after the ceremony to all those present at the ceremony.
Our sincere congratulations to the four Brothers. This community of Macau will continue accompanying until their graduation at the end of this academic year and pray for them.
